The Link Layer capability allows you to create links to other LiveDC records, such as Graphs, Hardware, Data Series, LiveTiles, and even other Maps.

You can also create links to external URLs associated with a multitude of other applications.

LiveTile
-
This is the new name for a Cog.
-
A LiveTile is a small image designed to summarize information from multiple DataSeries into a quick, useful format.
Map
-
This is the new name for a Heatmap.
-
A Map is an image designed to show spatially related DataSeries, representing their different values by using colors on a gradient scale.
-
A typical example is showing temperatures at locations within a datacenter. However, Maps can represent other concepts -- such as cost per square foot at datacenters on a world map, or risk versus cost in a quadrant diagram.
Elicit
-
This is the new name for a Collector.
-
Elicit is able to collect information from your network. Basic instances can poll intelligent sensors and devices. Advanced instances can also scan for network assets, and map relationships between them.
-
It can be installed on a Windows server, Linux server, or come as a small hardware appliance that just needs power and network connections.
